Whether you're an experienced musician or musician with just enough experience, we'd love to welcome you to our band. We are committed to creating a friendly, inclusive environment where members can enjoy making music together while serving the community through performances.

Who Can Join?

What to Expect

We welcome:

  • Student between 8th grade or 9th grade

  • Woodwinds and Brass

  • With sufficient playing experience

  • Already involved in school band or outside band

  • Preferable with NYSSMA level 4 or above

We are always interested in hearing from musicians who play:

  • Flute

  • Clarinet

  • Saxophone

  • Trumpet

  • French Horn

  • Trombone

  • Euphonium

  • Tuba

  • Percussion

  • Other concert band instruments

Availability may vary by section throughout the year.

Instruments Needed

As a member, you will:

  • Perform in community concerts and special events

  • Develop your musical skills

  • Build friendships with fellow student musicians

  • Help bring quality music to local audiences

  • Participate in a supportive and enjoyable ensemble

  • Regular attendance at rehearsals and performances

  • Personal instrument (some percussion equipment provided)

  • Commitment to respectful and professional conduct

Community service eligibility and requirements vary by school. Students and families are encouraged to confirm requirements directly with their school.
